| Bill has been working with learners and learning systems for over 25 years. Bill began hands on instruction of the physical sciences and naval nuclear propulsion systems while stationed aboard the nuclear guided missile cruiser USS Longbeach (CGN-9). Bill continued to work directly with standardized and performance driven learning systems at all levels as a senior licensed operations training instructor and simulator instructor at the Maine Yankee power plant. Bill has taught undergraduate level based chemistry, heat transfer, fluid flow, electronics, electrical theory, fracture mechanics, nuclear physics, systems design and safety analysis.
Bill is provisionally certified in Maine as a secondary education, science teacher. Bill has taught general biology, college preparatory biology and anatomy / physiology at the high school level. Bill has also taught information technology at the middle school level and computer applications at the college level. As a technology consultant for the Maine Department of Education and as the Director of Information Technology for the Hall-Dale school system, Bill has conducted numerous seminars and learning workshops in information technology, computer applications, databases, curriculum, standards based learning systems and course design.
Bill is currently writing a book on evolution which allows each reader to make up his or her mind as to the various evolutionary transitions that have been proposed by the latest emerging theories on evolutionary development.
